Photography has been a part of Himanshuu's life since the age of nine. What began as his father’s hobby quietly became my own calling. With no formal avenues available in India at the time, I pursued a Diploma in Scientific Photography in Australia after completing my degree in Ancient Indian Culture - a decision that shaped my life’s direction. With my diploma in hand and money saved from doing odd jobs, I set off on a backpacking journey around the world. Travelling extensively by road and rail through Australia, Southeast Asia, the UK, Canada, the USA, Mexico, the Middle East, and Africa, I immersed myself in diverse landscapes, cultures, and communities. From snow-capped mountains and deserts to remote villages and wildlife habitats, my camera became both my witness and my voice.
Photography sharpened my powers of observation. Having travelled across all seven continents, my work reflects lived experiences ranging from personal, observational, and deeply immersive to abstract interpretations of light, form, and life. Based in Mumbai, I now mentor aspiring photographers and lead immersive photography tours worldwide, blending my two enduring passions: travel and photography.
